Postponement of the International Urban and Mayors Business Summit – São Paulo, Brazil

The Board of the World College of Mayors (WCM) hereby announces the postponement of the International Urban and Mayors Business Summit, originally scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, on 22nd – 23rd November 2025.

After an extensive review and consultations with our global partners, host city representatives, and participating national associations, the Board unanimously resolved to reschedule the summit to 29th – 31st January 2026 at the Hyatt Hotel, São Paulo.

This decision comes in light of the significant participation of our partners, municipal leaders, and global city networks in the C 40 and COP 30 Climate Conference and related side engagements in Brazil during the same period. The change in date is intended to ensure maximum inclusion, coordination, and strategic synergy with global urban and climate objectives.

The World College of Mayors remains committed to fostering international collaboration, investment partnerships, and sustainable urban development between Africa, Latin America, and the global community.

All prior registrations, accreditations, and invitations for the November 2025 event remain fully valid for the rescheduled summit in January 2026.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and deeply appreciate the continued support of our host country, the Government of Brazil, the Embassy of Brazil in Ghana, the Ministry of Local Government, the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), and our numerous stakeholders across Africa and beyond.

Further updates regarding logistics, visa facilitation, and revised delegate schedules will be communicated through the WCM Secretariat in Accra and the Global Secretariat in Los Angeles.

Signed

Dr MANOHAR ROY
