Speaking in a press conference in Accra, Mr. Alhassan, said,
leaders of public institutions like; The SIC Life, REINSURANCE, NIC and NCA,
have passed the retirement age of 60, but are still holding their positions,
making it impossible, for the mass unemployed graduates to also get the chance
to occupy those positions, to bring their fresh ideas.
“It is sad to see the young ones, leaving our beautiful
country to seek greener pastures elsewhere, due to lack of employment”, he lamented.
Mr. Abdallah, said, The Zongo Coalition Groupings, aim is to
promote good governance and equal opportunities for all, thus, they are
concerned about the subject, and therefore, urged government to relieve all
leaders who are 60years and above of their positions, since it’s illegal for
them to still hold those positions; adding, “the more they stay in office, the
more corrupt they become; over stay breeds corruption”.
