Accra, Ghana — September 22, 2025
In a landmark move to accelerate Africa’s transition to renewable energy, Dogon Illuminate Ghana Ltd, under the umbrella of the African Cities Development Consult Group (ACDCG), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India-based Powertrac Eco Green Private Limited (PEPL). The agreement marks a decisive step toward establishing a robust pipeline for solar technology transfer, manufacturing, and distribution across Ghana and the wider African continent.
The MoU was formally executed on September 12, 2025, in Ahmedabad, India, by Mr. Deepak Londhe, Chairman of PEPL, and later countersigned in Accra on September 22, 2025, by Dr. Manohar Pareshnath Roy, Operations Director of the African Cities Development Consult Group, representing Dogon Illuminate Ghana.

A Partnership to Empower Africa Through Solar Energy
The agreement establishes Dogon Illuminate Ghana as the exclusive distributor of Powertrac Eco Green’s advanced solar products throughout Ghana and other African territories. Under the terms of the MoU, PEPL will supply key solar components—including solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, earthing materials, and lightning-protection systems—while Dogon Illuminate Ghana oversees branding, marketing, installation, and after-sales support.
Speaking after the signing, Dr. Manohar Roy described the agreement as “a strategic alliance that will not only light up African homes and industries but also transfer the technology and skills required to sustain the continent’s renewable-energy revolution.”
Mr. Deepak Londhe, Chairman of Powertrac Eco Green, emphasized India’s commitment to Africa’s green transformation, noting that “Powertrac Eco Green has always believed in partnerships that empower local capacity. This MoU ensures Ghana becomes a hub for clean-energy innovation and manufacturing.”
Adding his voice, Mr. Alhassan Abdallah Musah, Chief Executive Officer of Dogon Illuminate Ghana Ltd, hailed the signing as “a new dawn for Africa’s clean-energy independence.”
He remarked:
“This partnership reflects our commitment to drive inclusive growth through sustainable energy. Together with Powertrac Eco Green, we are not just importing technology — we are building local capacity, training our youth, and positioning Ghana as the solar hub of West Africa. The Illuminate Ghana initiative will touch every home, school, and business with affordable, reliable solar power.”
Driving Local Manufacturing and Job Creation
A cornerstone of the MoU is the joint expansion of solar-module manufacturing capacity in Africa. Both parties have agreed to collaborate on technology transfer, joint investment, and workforce development, paving the way for a future solar-panel and inverter-assembly plant in Ghana.
The partnership is expected to create thousands of technical and manufacturing jobs, strengthen local supply chains, and contribute to Ghana’s national agenda for energy independence and green industrialization.
According to the agreement, Dogon Illuminate Ghana will maintain regional inventory hubs and ensure that all products meet Ghana Energy Commission and International IEC certifications.
Exclusivity and Compliance Framework
Under the exclusivity clause, Dogon Illuminate Ghana becomes the sole authorized distributor of Powertrac Eco Green products in Ghana and selected African markets. The MoU also stipulates strict confidentiality, intellectual-property protection, and compliance with both Indian and Ghanaian laws, ensuring transparency and accountability in all commercial transactions.
Financially, the contract adopts a 50/50 payment milestone structure, covering initial advance and pre-shipment balance, with all transactions executed in USD or INR under standard international trade terms (FOB India Seaport).
A Vision Beyond Borders
The Dogon Illuminate Ghana–Powertrac Eco Green partnership symbolizes a new era of South-South cooperation, aligning with the African Union Agenda 2063, the Paris Climate Accord, and Ghana’s Energy Transition Framework.
In a joint statement, the two companies reaffirmed their shared mission:
“To make affordable solar energy accessible to every household, school, and enterprise in Africa — and to do so by building local capacity, empowering youth, and reducing carbon emissions.”
This historic signing positions Ghana as a continental leader in renewable energy collaboration, forging a bridge between Asian technology and African industrial ambition.
